Failure to Launch

Perhaps it’s because we’ve been at Kremik so much the past few months that we appear to be chained to the dock. Or maybe it was because we were so focused on getting the boat exported that we forgot that a number of things needed to be done before we left.

After the boat is exported, motor fixed, MAXProp installed ... we're ready to go .... whoo-hoo!
September 8th comes and …. It’s blowing 30 knots at the Marina, 30-40knots outside and, of course, on the nose. After deliberating for an hour or two we decided that we’d wait another day and leave on the 10th. It also gave us an excuse to stay for Marcel’s birthday party and all four of us who had bought yachts from Dalmacija Charter (and were forced to wait months for them) celebrated Marcel’s birthday and that we had actually escaped from Kremik. Only Danielle and Ramond, a couple from Quebec, remain waiting for their boat to be exported. They bought a Beneteau 50 just like ours, only a month after, and will likely be waiting until October before they’re set free.

After we said our good-byes, we went to bed hoping the weather gets better.
