Hey Canada Dry
The vendors (street or market) in Egypt are tremendously aggressive. Cairo was say at level 5, Aswan was more like level 8, hitting a maximum of level 11 (if you’ve seen Spinal Tap) in Luxor.
Music at lunch...baksheesh please.
One of the things they try to do is engage you in discussions .. if they get you talking you’re far more likely to buy something that if you just walk by …. So they often ask you where you’re from...
It would seem that in spite of all the good that Canada has done in History, and what a great country it is, the sum total of Egyptian experience is Canada Dry Ginger-Ale. Perhaps it’s like Hollywood Press Agents say, “There’s no such thing as ‘bad’ press”.
